Richard Tice is under investigation by the standards commissioner over an alleged failure to declare an interest.
The deputy Reform UK leader faces a probe as his boss Nigel Farage comes under mounting pressure over his finances.
It’s understood the probe into Mr Tice relates to the declaration of an interest in Israel when speaking on antisemitism in Westminster hall. The investigation was opened on July 28.
A standards investigation into Mr Farage’s failure to declare a £5million gift from Thai-based cryptocurrency billionaire Christopher Harborne has been paused since he quit as an MP. It will be restarted if he is re-elected as an MP in next week’s Clacton by-election.
