Mohamed Salah has been pictured in his new shirt for the first time since his Liverpool exit, with the Egyptian forward set to pen a two-year deal with his next club
Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah has seemingly all but confirmed his new club as he was snapped sporting Trabzonspor’s red and blue home kit.
The Egyptian king, 34, greeted fans and media wearing the shirt, having agreed to join the Turkish outfit following his departure from Liverpool as a free agent at the conclusion of last season.
Salah is reportedly set to sign a two-year contract after the Trabzon-based club appear to have won the race. It was heavily rumoured that Salah would make a switch to Saudi Arabia but Turkish clubs made determined efforts to secure his services as the top sides in the country look to splash the cash and add quality to their squad.

Trabzonspor have emerged as the shock victors in the battle for his signature, with the club confirming they were in transfer negotiations with Salah on Tuesday evening and that he would land in Trabzon on Wednesday.
They announced: “Professional footballer Mohamed Salah, with whom we have begun transfer negotiations, will be at Istanbul Atatürk Airport General Aviation Terminal at 12:00 on Wednesday, August 5. The player is scheduled to arrive in Trabzon on the same day in the evening hours.
“The time and other details regarding the welcome program in Trabzon will be shared with the public through our club’s official communication channels during the day.”
Salah was met by numerous journalists outside the airport alongside supporters.
Salah will team up with Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, who has returned to the club on loan for a second campaign. Former Manchester City defender Stefan Savic is another ex-Premier League star currently turning out for the Super Lig outfit.
Salah delivered a heartfelt goodbye when his departure from the Reds was confirmed in March. “Liverpool is not just a football club, it’s a passion, it’s a history, it’s a spirit,” he said. “I can’t explain in words to anyone not part of this club.
“We celebrated victory, we won the most important trophies and we fought together through the hardest time in our life.
“I want to thank everyone who was part of this club throughout my time here, especially the teammates past and present.
“And to the fans, I don’t have enough words. The support you showed me through the best time of my career and you stood by me in the toughest times. It’s something I will never forget and something I will take with me always.”
