Meghan Markle celebrated her 45th birthday alongside Prince Harry with wild kitchen dancing, pool snaps and a dog party fail after a UK royal reunion.
Meghan Markle has let her hair down in a wild new clip showing her dancing around the kitchen in pyjamas and a tiara to celebrate her big day. The Duchess of Sussex, who turned 45 yesterday, was caught on camera boogying around the couple’s lavish California mansion while hubby Harry, 41, could be heard letting out a weary “oh dear” in the background.
Donning a baggy t-shirt emblazoned with the phrase “It’s Giving Mrs”, a beaming Meghan waltzed through the kitchen to a catchy birthday tune before disappearing behind a massive cluster of balloons.
In another chaotic social media clip, the pair were seen attempting to force mini party hats onto their reluctant dogs, Mamma Mia and Pula.
The unamused pooches looked far from impressed as the Duke and Duchess tried to balance the paper accessories on their heads.
Giggling behind the camera, Meghan eventually gave up,saying: “Oh no, okay, let’s take it off. I’m sorry.”
The royal couple reportedly spent the rest of the day relaxing at their Montecito estate alongside Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five.
Writing on social media, the Duchess thanked fans for the “birthday love” while sharing a couple of playful black-and-white snaps of herself taking a plunge into a swimming pool while clutching a dozen balloons.
However, the ex-Suits actress raised a few eyebrows by also seemingly wishing herself a happy birthday in a gushing plug on her As Ever brand account.
Alongside throwback photos of herself as a youngster and pictures of marmalade and strawberry jam, the business page posted: “Happy birthday to our founder, Meghan.”
It added: “Lighting No. 084 to celebrate!”, promoting her pricey candle line. The birthday antics cap off a busy few weeks for the Sussexes following a low-key family getaway to Europe.
After stopping off in Portugal – where the couple are rumoured to be snapping up a holiday home near Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank – the family made a discreet trip to the UK.
While on British soil, Harry and Meghan shared a historic hour-long tea with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove.
The palace-confirmed reunion marked the first time the Monarch had seen his daughter-in-law and young grandchildren since 2022.
