CeCe Rose – who was once dubbed the “perfect girlfriend” – says space chiefs should send her on the next Moon mission as she would be an ideal ambassador for mankind
A model says NASA should send her to represent Earth on its next Moon mission. CeCe Rose, who was once dubbed the “perfect girlfriend”, says she would happily become mankind’s ambassador for a future lunar trip, although she’d much rather stay firmly on the ground.
Despite insisting she doesn’t believe humans have ever successfully landed there, the 26-year-old reckons she is the ideal person for the job.
The Toronto-based creator, who has more than two million Instagram followers (@cecerose), says she’s questioned the Apollo Moon landings for years and isn’t convinced history books have got it right.
“I don’t believe we’ve ever actually landed on the moon,” said CeCe. “I don’t think it’s impossible to get there.
“I just don’t think a successful landing has happened yet.”
The influencer says working in the entertainment industry has only strengthened her doubts.
“Honestly, this is something I’ve always been sceptical about, like a lot of people are,” she said.
“But especially after being in the industry I’m in and seeing how advanced theatre production is, the evidence is outstanding that it’s extremely possible the first ever ‘moon landing’ was just a movie set.”
CeCe believes people are often too quick to dismiss anyone who questions widely accepted events.
“I think a lot of people trust the news blindly, so for anyone to question it seems abnormal,” she said.
“I’m sure more people disagree with what they see in the mainstream – they just don’t say it out loud.”
CeCe insists she isn’t closed-minded and says she’d happily change her opinion if she saw convincing evidence herself.
“If NASA announced another successful moon landing tomorrow, I’d still need convincing,” she said.
“I’m not sure exactly what proof I would need. But I’m not just going to see one statement about it and say, ‘Okay, it’s happened now’.”
If given the opportunity to witness the evidence herself, however, she wouldn’t hesitate.
“I would absolutely accept,” she said.
“At the end of the day, I’m a genuinely curious person, so I’d love to see it all.”
CeCe insists she’d jump at the chance to be involved if NASA came calling, adding: “I think I’d be a great ambassador.”
Her comments have divided opinion online, with critics repeatedly trying to change her mind.
“It’s been all over the place,” she said.
“Some people agree with me and some have made it their life mission to tag me in everything moon related.
“Especially on TikTok.
“If there’s someone talking about the moon landing, I get tagged in the comments straight away.”
Some reactions have been more memorable than others.
“People even message me about it,” she laughed.
“I think the funniest one was someone yelling at me saying he couldn’t believe I’d said that because he’d been there last week.
“I kept trying to work out if he meant he’d been to the moon last week, but he just kept repeating that he’d ‘gone last week.'”
Despite the criticism, CeCe says she’ll continue asking questions rather than accepting every official narrative without thinking.
“At the end of the day, it’s better to question something you’re not sure of than blindly believe someone else’s truth,” she said.
“I’d rather look like a complete idiot asking 30 stupid questions than blindly accept someone else’s truth while I’m still confused or unsure.”
CeCe previously made headlines after parents reportedly offered to fly her around the world to date their sons after she was labelled the “perfect girlfriend”.
Looking back, she believes the story resonated because modern dating has become increasingly difficult.
“I think it resonated with a lot of people because dating in society is hard,” she said.
“Parents probably read it thinking, ‘How can I get her for my son?’
“Men probably read it thinking, ‘What should my standards be?’
“And other women probably wanted to see what was so different about me – whether from jealousy or to learn something.”
