Queen Camilla could “shut the door” on Meghan Markle after her warnings about a private reunion with King Charles were reportedly “ignored”, according to sources. In late July, Meghan posted a series of summer-themed photos on social media, including an image of Prince Harry, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet at what seemed to be Althorp Estate, the ancestral home of Princess Diana.

The Queen, believed to have been present when Charles was reunited with his grandchildren for the first time in four years last month, was “very clear” that the couple should not post anything online about their visit, a source told New Idea.

“Camilla’s words appear to have fallen on deaf ears,” they said. “She feels that she was clear about no social media posts, and if Meghan thinks Althorp was an exception, she was very wrong.”

The stipulation was primarily intended to keep the reunion private for Archie and Lilibet, the source added, but Meghan’s breach could mean “the door would remain shut for her forever”.

It comes after Meghan was slammed for wearing one specific item during the weird birthday celebration video she posted online. The Duchess of Sussex, who turned 45 on Tuesday, was caught on camera boogying around the couple’s lavish California mansion while husband Prince Harry, 41, could be heard letting out a weary “oh dear” in the background.

Donning a baggy t-shirt emblazoned with the phrase “It’s Giving Mrs”, a beaming Meghan waltzed through the kitchen to a catchy birthday tune before disappearing behind a massive cluster of balloons.

In another chaotic social media clip, the pair were seen attempting to force mini party hats onto their reluctant dogs, Mamma Mia and Pula.

The royal couple reportedly spent the rest of the day relaxing at their Montecito estate alongside Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five. But, while that all rather wonderful . . . Meghan’s style choice has angered some within Royal circles, a source claimed to Radar Online.

They said: “The clips were shared to give followers a glimpse of a relaxed birthday at home, but anything Meghan posts attracts intense scrutiny. Some viewers thought the tiara was a fun birthday accessory, while others interpreted it differently because of her royal background – or rather, lack of it.
