Ana Maria Markovic, who has been branded as the ‘world’s most beautiful footballer’, has stunned fans with a shock career change.
Markovic, who recently moved to Croatian giants Hadjuk Split, has briefly taken some time away from football to seemingly start an acting career. Taking to social media, the blonde bombshell shared some behind the scenes snaps of the “unforgettable experience”.
She told her legion of followers: “Had the best time. Thanks @denner_schweiz for this unforgettable experience! Acting in The Socceritos was definitely not on my bingo card…what an experience!” And fans folocked to the comments section to shower her with compliments.

“Wow, you can do it all,” one fan gushed. While a second shared: “Congratulations to you sis your life is on another step!”
“Ana, are you working with @rockstargames A new Red Dead Redemption 3? that would be a dream,” a third joked. As a fourth said: “You are too cool girl!”
And another added: “Ana, what beautiful eyes!”
Ana is back in Europe with her fifth club in three seasons following a spell in America with USL Super League side Brooklyn FC. She previously played for Portuguese sides SF Damaiense and Braga, and Swiss outfit Grasshopper Zurich.
She shared a video to her 2.7million Instagram followers of her walking out in Hajduk’s stadium, signing her contract and appearing in her first training session alongside the caption: “New chapter”.
However, fans have not been impressed with her recent performances, with football stats page Soccerdonna showing she last scored in February 2023 for Grasshopper.
She has played three full seasons since, including at Brooklyn FC where she registered just one assist in 23 matches.
One user disparagingly commented: “Does anyone even know when she last scored a goal? It’s all just for the photo op and nothing else…”
A second critically said: “Good advertising, but zero points in terms of gameplay.” While another claimed: “I’ve seen her play a few times – I won’t comment; better not!
“And if my “expert opinion” isn’t enough for you, go ahead and look at her stats—and let me remind you beforehand that she’s a forward!”
