Arsenal are still in the transfer market for new signings as the Premier League season is now just 10 days away for Mikel Arteta and his men
It’s now less than one week until Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will be back in action as they clash with Manchester City in the Community Shield, the traditional curtain raiser for the new season.
It hasn’t been the summer that many Gunners fans might have hoped for – but the marquee signing of Bruno Guimaraes has got fans hoping there might be one or two in the pipeline. A new No.9 still appears to be at the top of Arteta’s shopping list.
And the Gunners have been linked with Juventus forward Kenan Yildi. Speaking about transfers Arteta said: “Well, that’s what we’re trying to do. If we have the right player in the market to make us much better. We are very looking forward to that.”

Kenan Yildiz stance clear
Juventus are said to be reluctant to part with Yildiz, who has been mooted for a switch to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The 21-year-old surfaced as another possible target for Arsenal following Vinicius penning fresh terms with Real Madrid, reports the Mirror.
Nevertheless, Tutto Juve reports that Yildiz is “considered unsellable” by the Italian outfit. Arsenal are understood to hold substantial interest but Juventus are eager to “build the new team” around the Turkey international.
The club’s position reportedly remains the same as when Arsenal first expressed interest in Yildiz back in June. Arteta’s team were also linked with the forward last summer, with Juventus previously slapping an £85m price tag on him.
Arsenal in discussions over Gabriel Martinelli transfer
Arsenal are currently in negotiations with Galatasaray regarding a potential deal for Gabriel Martinelli.
The 25-year-old is entering the final year of his contract with the Gunners. football. london reveals that Arsenal are haggling over a fee with Galatasaray, who declared their interest in Martinelli over the weekend.
However, it’s noted that the forward’s possible departure will not be given the green light until Arsenal have secured a replacement.
Last season, the Brazilian was ousted from the starting line-up by Leandro Trossard, who made the move to Besiktas earlier this summer.
The club has already signed Tzolis for the left wing and continues to be associated with other wide targets, including Yildiz.
