A reality TV star who gave birth behind bars has denied killing her boyfriend after his dismembered body was discovered inside the home they shared together.

The 39-year-old’s dismembered body was discovered at the couple’s home in Port Lincoln, on the Eyre Peninsula in Australia, after emergency services were called to reports of a fire.
His head was later found by a member of the public in July 2025 and confirmed to belong to Julian two months later. Chesser, who was arrested on 17 June last year, appeared at Adelaide Magistrates Court today (11 August) where she pleaded not guilty.
She denied murdering Julian and destroying his remains to pervert the course of justice and has flagged a potential mental health defence, according to ABC News.
Her lawyer told the court that investigations into her mental competence were currently underway.
The former reality star has been held at the James Nash House secure psychiatric facility since her arrest.
Chesser appeared on Beauty and the Geek in 2010. The show is a a reality tv hit created by actor Ashton Kutcher where conventionally attractive, outgoing individuals, deemed as beauties, are paired with highly intellectual, socially introverted individuals, known as geeks as part of a social experiment.
Tamika gave birth to a child while in custody in March this year but the identity of the child’s father has not been made public.
Following her not guilty pleas, Chesser is due to appear in the Supreme Court for arraignment later this year.
