At the end of the year the big bosses at the water companies will award themselves huge bonuses for a job well done, they can afford this because they’ve saved money and do every year by not spending it on maintenance, old pipes need replacing, ditches and gullies need clearing, we lose more water from ongoing leaks than we do to poor old aunty watering her pot plants, like everything it needs to be maintained, repair infrastuature, dig new reservoirs, stop changing water courses with new builds, and stop saying unprecedented, we have had droughts before that is a precedent learn from it.
