Brits need to perform better in bed to fix our broken political system, according to one party standing in the Clacton by-election.
Members of the Everyone is God party claim good sex is the secret to creating a healthier, happier and more financially stable society. And leader Marcus White wants to help voters achieve it if elected in tonight’s poll.
The candidate, who describes himself as a “polymath”, founded the group with his partner, therapist and sex worker Rosie Morrell. He said: “Politics is not driven by politics. It’s driven by human nature and the decisions we make, and at the heart of our psychology is sex. That’s the link between our sexual policies and our politics and how it all fits together.”
Rosie, the party’s Ambassador for Human Relations, has a background in psychology, therapy and secondary school teaching. She hopes to be the first British sex worker to get elected as an MP.
She said: “Sex creates our lives as humans – it drives us at a subconscious level every day. The general public don’t understand that, how our impulses are often driven by emotional triggers.
“We want people to understand what’s driving them when they are doing certain things. It’s all linked to your sex drive.
“We want to educate children on how to communicate better with their parents and educate adults as well.”
The couple, based in Dorset, have made an impression on voters already, thanks to Rosie’s eye-catching outfits on the campaign trail. She is often seen wearing a skintight minidress with a Union Flag pattern.
But they insist that behind the glamour lies a serious plan to fix the problems in modern society.
Marcus explained: “There’s no way the Government, when we have record debt, can fix a cost-of-living crisis for 68million people. So our approach is radically different.
“Our approach is to empower everybody and explain to people how they can financially plan, save and invest for when financial shocks occur.”
And despite the name, the Everyone is God party is not a religious organisation. According to Rosie, it stems from their beliefs about how people can learn the skills to solve their own problems.
She said: “Before we got together 10 years ago, we had this particular belief about how everything and everyone is God. And when we met that alignment and our moral values became a direct feed into our politics.”
Marcus is one of a record-breaking 34 candidates standing in the Clacton-on-Sea by-election, with Nigel Farage and Count Binface the current front-runners. Polls close tonight (August 13) at 10pm, with results expected in the early hours of the morning.
