A former Arsenal defender is leaning on the support of his jaw-dropping wife as he wrestles to keep his playing career on track.
Cedric Soares spent four years at Arsenal and enjoyed spells at Sporting CP, Southampton, Inter Milan and Fulham before leaving Europe behind to join Brazilian giants Sao Paulo last year.
The 35-year-old celebrates his birthday today, but the festivities could be rather subdued due to the contract situation he currently finds himself in. Cedric has turned down two loan moves from second-tier Brazilian sides; however, the three-time Copa Libertadores champions want him out and are considering ripping up his contract.

Cedric has made it clear that he doesn’t want to drop down to Brazil’s second flight, but the ex-Gunners right-back has slipped down the pecking order at the Morumbi Stadium.
However, Cedric will hope to forget about his precarious future as he looks to celebrate his birthday with his stunning wife Filipa Bradnao.
Cedric met the Portuguese Instagram star and fashionista in 2015, and engaged two years later before tying the knot in 2019. Their first daughter Siena arrived the following year.
It was quite the period in Soares’ life – who was also crowned as a European champion as part of a Portuguese side who stunned the French in Paris in 2016.
The year their daughter was born was the same year as the 34-time Portugal international moved to north London.
Filipa has over 36,000 followers on Instagram and treats her followers to some eye-popping pictures in tight dresses and skimpy bikinis.
Alongside lapping up the sunshine in Brazil, the couple also jetted off to the Maldives, where Filipa showed off her washboard abs and stunning figure in a tiny leopard print bikini.
Understandably, Cedric doesn’t want to accept any old move at this stage of his career and life that could involve upping sticks and moving to a new club on a short-term deal at this stage of his career and his family’s life.
The defender is under contract until December 2027 but his exit is being actively pursued with offers from Turkey and Rio Ave in Portugal being lodged but ultimately breaking down.
