Transfer deadline day is here and clubs around the Premier League will be hard at work closing deals before the 11pm deadline. Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are three of the clubs who still have plenty of unfinished business to conclude.
First up at Old Trafford, defensive fragilities have been a major early season concern for Michael Carrick, and the chase to sign Lewis Hall to rival Luke Shaw and plug the left-back position looks to be over.
But United are still in the running to sign Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde. There remains a financial obstacle between the two clubs, with United favouring a loan deal, while Barca want a £34million permanent transfer. Left-back certainly seems to be a position to keep an eye on for United.

At Anfield, Ismaila Sarr could follow Bradley Barcola through the door in the final hours of the window. The Crystal Palace winger has reportedly skipped training and is demanding a move, but his £75m price tag is causing issues for Liverpool to match.
Arsenal face an era-defining day, with Julian Alvarez still on the market. The Atletico Madrid star wants out and Arsenal are willing to pay a record £128m fee to secure his services, but the ex-City striker appears to still need convincing to move to north London.
