Man Utd have agreed a Transfer Deadline Day deal

Manchester United have struck a deal with Scottish outfit Dundee for young midfielder Jack Moorhouse to go on loan. The player has reportedly attracted significant interest throughout the summer.

With the Daily Mail stating that Dundee have fended off competition from the likes of Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers, Huddersfield Town and Stockport County to secure the transfer.

Moorhouse is the latest in a line of United youngsters to further their development on loan in Scotland. Ethan Williams spent last season with Falkirk, while Jacob Devaney is currently with Hibernian after previously shining at St Mirren.

Moorhouse spent the previous season on loan at Leyton Orient. He made 20 appearances in League One, contributing one assist, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The 20 year old has 29 appearances for United’s development squad, netting six goals and providing five assists. However, he has been omitted from the squad for both of the Premier League 2 games so far this season.

The midfielder could be among several players to depart United on loan before the window closes. Young left-back Harry Amass is another who could exit.

United had been in talks with Championship side Burnley over a potential deal, but that seems to have fallen through. There is expected to be interest from Championship clubs for a late loan deal before the 11pm deadline.

Forward Chido Obi is also eager to secure a loan move in pursuit of more consistent first-team action. They will only green-light a transfer if they are convinced that the destination club will contribute to their development.

It appears likely to be a subdued day at Old Trafford regarding arrivals. The club are considering a move for a left-back, but will only act if the right opportunity presents itself, with the club hesitant to make a hasty, panic signing.
