Biohacker Bryan Johnson has launched a forensic probe after he says a cafe accidentally served him caffeinated coffee, ruining his sleep and triggering an existential crisis
Tech millionaire Bryan Johnson has launched a full-scale forensic investigation after a devastating coffee blunder plunged him into an “existential dilemma.” The 49-year-old biohacker, famous for injecting his 17-year-old son’s blood into his veins to reverse his biological age, said he was left feeling “wrecked” when a local cafe allegedly served him real coffee instead of decaf.
The multimillionaire claimed the mix-up ruined his sleep and forced him to cancel his morning fitness training, warning fans that acute sleep disruption can increase injury risks by up to 130 per cent.
Determined to uncover the truth, Johnson returned to the scene of the incident armed with a sound meter to carry out a bizarre forensic audit.
Detailing the ordeal on X, Johnson recalled entering the cafe on Sunday at 2:06 pm. He claimed he spoke to a young female worker before their interactions threw him off balance.
When the worker complimented his device, saying, “I like your walkie talkie,” Johnson panicked.
“She had deviated from the script and routine,” he said. “What was I to make of this? A debilitating aftershock from the surprise compliment and friendly engagement.”
Faced with the payment screen, an “existential dilemma” hit him as he agonised over whether to leave a 39 per cent tip or give her all his money because he is “rich.”
After pouring his macadamia nut milk into a stainless steel cup to avoid microplastics, Johnson headed home, ignorant of the “fatal” error.
Believing a 31-minute nap had given him superpowers, he worked for ten hours straight before going to bed at 8.01 pm.
Instead of drifting off in his usual two to three minutes, he said his mind was “wired and buzzing,” leaving him tossing and turning all night.
Returning to measure the cafe’s background noise, Johnson calculated a “-3 dB signal to noise ratio,” concluding that “a decaf coffee” and “a cup of coffee” sound nearly identical.
However, he hasn’t ruled out a sinister plot, noting a “55 per cent likelihood” the barista recognised him and pulled a prank.
Social media users immediately laid into the biohacker. One commenter wrote: “This is one of the most unhinged things I’ve seen on the internet…Your day to day is so removed from reality!”
Another added: “Men used to go to war, now they go back to coffee shops that served them caffeinated coffee.”
The bizarre investigation is just the latest chapter in Johnson’s obsessive quest for eternal youth.
Beside his notorious vampire-style blood swaps, the tech guru sleeps with a tiny Bluetooth-powered device attached to his penis to track night-time erections.
His partner, Kate Tolo, is also subjected to the strict regime, sleeping with an acrylic vaginal “techno-tampon” to measure period blood flow.
The pair currently sleep in separate beds, though Johnson promised they can share a mattress as a “treat” once Kate completes 100 consecutive days of testing.
