‘My dying neighbour fibbed about bonking my girlfriend – now I wish to get my very own again’

How do I exact revenge on an ex-neighbour who ruined my life? Ten years ago, I was in a serious relationship with a beautiful woman. We rented a lovely house and were planning to start a family.

But then a neighbour started pouring poison into my ear. He told me my girl was cheating; that he saw her letting other men into the house while I was at work.

He wondered if she might be a secret sex worker. I confronted my girl who told me he was speaking rubbish. She protested her innocence in the strongest terms.

But I’ve always been a jealous, insecure person and refused to believe her. In the end the neighbour took me out, got me drunk and revealed he’d been using my partner’s “services” and that she was a disgrace to the street and should be chucked out. I did nothing more than go home, pack her bags and finish with her.

I moved out myself shortly afterwards. I’m now living 50 miles away, yet this old neighbour has tracked me down via social media. He’s dying and is determined to make amends for the terrible things he did as a younger man.

He’s admitted that my ex-partner never sold sex, slept with him or did anything to bring our street into disrepute. He made it all up. He was going through a bad patch at the time; he was frustrated in his job and his ex-wife hated him for being an old misery.

If anything, he was envious of the lifestyle my ex-partner and I enjoyed and got a kick out of bursting our bubble. Now he’s sorry and begging for forgiveness but I want revenge.

He ruined my life, and I can’t get over it. My poor ex-partner was badly treated, and I want justice for her. My current girlfriend says it’s too long ago to worry about, but surely, he must pay.

JANE SAYS: How are you proposing to make a dying man “pay”? Be realistic and don’t do anything stupid.

Cut him out of your life and don’t have any more to do with him. The man is sick in more ways than one. You can’t allow him to control and upset you all over again. Listen to your current girlfriend.

Too much time and energy have already been wasted. I think the person you should be attempting to reach out to is your ex-partner. Your old neighbour might have spouted a load of rubbish, but you can’t lay all the blame at his door.

You were in a relationship with her. You should have listened to and trusted her. Throw yourself at her mercy and apologise because you ruined her life too. There’s every chance she’ll say “get stuffed” but you won’t know unless you try.

If you still consider yourself a jealous and insecure person, I suggest you get professional help before you ruin your current relationship too.

Bloke from work keeps sending me naked snaps

How do I stop a guy from work from sending me d*** pics?

He’s the office joker. He genuinely thinks that there is nothing funnier or sexier than a snap of a man’s junk. He sits opposite me and I receive half a dozen shots every day. Mostly they’re of his member. He goes into the men’s loo and snaps away. He calls them his “exclusives” and I think he expects me to be grateful.

He and I once had sex and he considers me his “mucker”. The problem is that I’ve laughed along too many times.

JANE SAYS: This behaviour is crass and inappropriate. Tell him you’ve had enough and he’s to leave you alone. That’s not you having a sense of humour failure – that’s you being honest.

Warn him that you will speak to a superior or HR if he continues to bombard you. OK, so you once had sex, but you’re entitled to get on with your work in peace.

Be in no doubt – he can tell that he’s embarrassing you and is getting a thrill out of it. You owe him nothing. I know you feel compromised but it’s vital that you put an end to this nonsense.

Girlfriend won’t sleep with me while others are in the house

My partner is super sensitive. She refuses to have get intimate if someone else is in the house.

She’s paranoid about making a noise and being heard. She gets anxious and embarrassed even talking about it.

My brother is staying with us after a messy break-up from his ex-girlfriend. He’s downstairs on an air bed in the front room. He is one of the most chilled out people I know.

It would take an earthquake to wake him up. Plus, he wouldn’t care if we held an orgy right under his nose. How do I get my girl to relax?

JANE SAYS: Can’t your brother crash with someone else one or twice a week so that you and your partner can get some privacy?

Explain to him that you need some “couple time”. We’re all different and you need to respect the fact that your partner is sensitive. It’s vital that you ring fence your relationship in order to get your love life back on track.

Sadly, if your partner is deliberately pushing you away, then she has to tell you why. She has to know that you are on her side.

Partner is a selfish brat

My girl is a brat. She is quite capable of buying anything she wants, but she likes to test my commitment to our relationship by demanding exclusive pieces (clothes, shoes, handbags) which usually involves me running around or scouring the internet.

When she wants something, then she wants it right now. I find this annoying. How do I get her to grow up?
