With summer now officially behind us, plenty of Brits will already be dreaming about their next holiday. And if the thought of airports, delayed flights and keeping the kids entertained on a plane sounds like hard work, a UK break could be just the ticket this autumn.
For families looking to get away without the hassle of travelling abroad, a staycation can be an easy and often much more relaxing option. There’s no need to worry about passports, airport queues or trying to squeeze the entire contents of the house into a suitcase – just pack the car and hit the road.

However, some felt there were areas that could be improved upon. One guest reviewing their stay at Brynowen noted: “The beach is stunning as are the views all around the resort. Only thing that let the holiday down was the cost of food and drinks at the clubhouse – considering it’s for families it’s very expensive to buy beverages during the evening entertainment. Otherwise we loved our time there.”
Meanwhile, a visitor to Looe Bay commented: “Staff at Looe Bay were very friendly and helpful. Silver caravan with decking was great – although toilet very small! Could do with some hooks in bathroom for towels. Swimming pool good but didn’t like that you couldn’t go any time, you had to go at certain session times.”
Meanwhile, another delighted guest penned following their visit to the Todber Valley site: “Absolute attention to detail in every aspect. Incredible team of staff members. Caravan was beautiful and the views from the terrace were amazing. I watched the sunset surrounded by nature. Did the Todber walk with my dog multiple times. I’ve booked back for April. Excellent for SEN parents/carers.”
