Noel Gallagher revealed his children had never met brother Liam’s sons until the historic Oasis reunion tour brought the cousins together to party as best friends
Noel Gallagher has admitted that his kids had never met Liam’s sons before last year’s mega Oasis comeback. Despite rumours claiming the rock icon’s children secretly brought the feuding brothers together, Noel confirmed the cousins were complete strangers until the reunion tour kicked off.
Liam’s lads Lennon, 26, and Gene, 25, had kept away from Noel’s children Anaïs, 26, Donovan, 18, and Sonny, 15, as the infamous family feud rumbled on for years.
Opening up about the family drama, Noel said: “When my kids met his kids they didn’t know each other. They’d never met. Donovan and Sonny had never met Gene and Lennon. Lo and behold they’re best friends now.”
Now the younger generation is making up for lost time, partying just as hard as their famous dads did at the height of 90s Britpop madness, reports the Sun.
Liam admitted the group has been painting the town red, saying: “They’re off their heads every night. F***ing spangled.”
Beaming dad Noel also shared a wild story from the road, admitting his 18-year-old son Donovan is already following directly in his rock ‘n’ roll footsteps.
He said: “I’ve been on tour with my boys for three or four months now, me and my kid were laughing. Donovan is in the big league now he’s 18.
“Donavan got into the van and he got hammered. He was puking up into a plastic bag and singing Rock ‘N’ Roll star. He reminded me so much of me and Liam and I said to Liam, ‘That was us.'”
It comes after it was revealed that Liam left Noel stunned after going AWOL before the first Oasis comeback gig.
The brothers were barely on speaking terms when their 2025 reunion tour kicked off and Liam sparked chaos by failing to turn up for their final rehearsals.
While the pair are now closer than ever after the music brought them back together, explosive footage has shown how Liam vanished hours before their massive show in Cardiff, rolling up just minutes before showtime.
Speaking in the new film Don’t Look Back In Anger, Noel said: “We’ve got a chance here to change the narrative of the band. We have got a chance to fix all the s*** that we have just let drift apart. The final run-through, the night before the thing. Didn’t see him. Ohh.
“The next thing is one of the biggest f***ing moments of our lives, right? And he’s not rehearsed. I am like, ‘Oh yeah?’ He turns up 20 minutes before the gig: ‘Alright, what’s the catering like?'”
Thankfully, the legendary frontman didn’t let the Welsh crowd down, grabbing Noel’s hand in an iconic moment as they hit the stage and wowed their fans with an unforgettable performance.
