Being able to spot what’s amiss in an image can be a marker of superb problem-solving abilities and sharp cognitive function. It demonstrates you’re capable of processing information swiftly and identifying the anomaly within a given set of data. Honing these skills is crucial for your brain to operate effectively, and we should be training in this manner just as regularly as we exercise the rest of our bodies.
One of the finest ways to give your brain a proper workout is by tackling puzzles that challenge you to think beyond conventional boundaries. Have a look at the picture in the Reddit post above. You should be able to see around 21 dice on a wooden table. The dice aren’t arranged in any particular way, and they all have different sides facing upwards – displaying all the options from one to six. However, according to the person who posted the image, one of these dice is not like the others.
Despite all being white with black dots representing the numbers, one was produced by a different company and is noticeably distinct as a result.
Your challenge is to spot the odd die out as swiftly as possible. If you can do it in under 10 seconds, you can officially count yourself among the crème de la crème.
Don’t fret too much about the clock, though. The more often you tackle this type of puzzle, the quicker you’ll become, so don’t worry if it takes you a bit longer this time around. The key is to persevere and strive to solve it.

Answer
The die you’re hunting for is the left-most one showing the number three.
It’s incredibly tricky to discern without zooming in and scrutinising closely, but you can just about make out that the left-most three has a square face rather than a rounded one. It also has slightly different spacing from the other dice displaying the same number, with each dot having a larger gap between them.
The spacing is the easiest way to identify which die is the anomaly. The poster even stated that he initially devised a puzzle where every die displayed the number one, but found that version “impossible” to solve, as you can’t examine the spacing when there’s only one dot.
