A woman was hit by a van outside a Co-op in North Somerset after trying to intervene in an apparent theft. Police have now released images of two people they believe can help in their enquiries
A woman was hit by a van outside a Co-op in North Somerset after she attempted to intervene in what appeared to be a theft, according to police.
Police report that an unidentified woman exited the Paulton store, located in Hill Court, with a basket full of unpaid food items on Thursday, September 3, between 11am and 12pm.
A woman in her 30s tried to step in during the alleged theft, but ended up being involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Combo van. The alleged thief was then driven away in the van by an unknown man, according to Avon and Somerset Police.
The woman sustained minor injuries which did not necessitate hospital treatment.
Police are currently investigating the incident and have now released images of two individuals they believe could assist with their enquiries, reports Somerset Live.
The first individual is described as a white woman with long black hair, who was seen wearing a green dress and a grey fleece.
The second person is described as a white man with short, cropped hair, who was dressed in blue jeans and a grey hooded jumper.
