Alisson Becker has been slapped with a fine for misconduct following his antics after Liverpool’s 2-2 stalemate with Nottingham Forest last month.
The Brazilian was left fuming after being deemed to have given away a penalty for bringing down former Reds teammate Neco Williams, with Morgan Gibbs-White stepping forward to slot home the spot-kick and put Forest in front. Andoni Iraola’s men salvaged a point courtesy of a late leveller from Victor Munoz.
But Alisson remained far from pleased after the final whistle and was spotted booting the fourth official’s board – which had already sparked controversy by malfunctioning and preventing Liverpool from making three changes in the lead-up to Forest’s penalty – as he departed the field.

Alisson has now been hit with an £8,000 fine for his conduct after the FA confirmed he had accepted a misconduct charge.
An official statement read: “Liverpool’s Alisson Becker has been fined £8,000 for misconduct at the Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest on 29 August,” reports the Liverpool Echo.
“It was alleged that the goalkeeper acted in an improper manner around the tunnel area after the final whistle. Alisson Becker has subsequently accepted the charge against him and received the standard penalty.”
To rub salt in the wound, the Premier League’s Key Match Incidents (KMI) Panel ruled earlier this week that the penalty was incorrectly awarded by referee Sam Barrott during the encounter with Forest.
Three members of the five-man panel felt that Alisson’s challenge on Williams had not merited punishment.
Nevertheless, after Barrott was not sent to the VAR screen for a review, the KMI panel unanimously backed VAR Michael Oliver’s decision not to direct the match official to the pitchside monitor, ruling that it fell short of the threshold for an intervention.
“The contact from Alisson was inevitable as a consequence of his momentum in attempting to save the ball,” the KMI Panel said. “The contact made was not reckless and below the threshold for a penalty.
“However, the non-intervention by the VAR was unanimously supported on the basis that it was not a clear and obvious error.”
