An adult star in Japan has tragically died after ending her own life after her body was discovered in Tokyo’s red light district on Saturday.
Hana Kuraki’s body was found lifeless at an apartment in the city’s Kabuchiko district – an area notorious for adult entertainment and sex tourism. Sakito, Kuraki’s friend and owner of a prominent bar in the area, shed details about the star’s death.
Sakito said: “I am deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the passing of Hana Kuraki. I offer my sincere condolences.” He also refuted claims he was the one who found the adult star’s body.
Kuraki was only 25-years-old when she died, commanding a huge following on social media where she would often plug her adult content.
Sakito said one of Kuraki’s friends discovered her at his flat. He then rushed to the apartment to assist with the situation and talk with Tokyo police, he wrote.
Sakito also revealed that Kuraki had very recently confided in him that she was heartbroken, but urged people to stop spreading rumours about her death.
“I hope that no further harm comes to the deceased or those around her through misinformation or speculation,” he wrote.
“I also hope for a world free of people who use violence to control others or drive them to such desperate straits,” he continued.
Kuraki entered the adult film industry in 2024 and was due to appear in an adult entertainment expo in Taiwan later this year. In June this year, she announced an unexpected break due to facial and jaw injuries sustained in a road traffic accident.
“Announcement: I’ve decided to take a break for a while, so I’ll be suspending activities for a certain period. (I do want to keep up with filming if I can). As for the events currently scheduled, I’ll provide an update when I can,” she posted on X.
