All traffic has been stopped on a stretch of a UK motorway following a crash on Tuesday morning, with long queues building up to the incident.
Motorists have been halted to a stop on the southside of the M61, with all lanes currently closed. The incident happened between junction eight for Chorley and junction six for Horwich.
Delays are expected as emergency services deal with the incident.
