The UK is set to be hit by another heatwave in the coming weeks, with temperatures set to soar to 29C, according to the latest weather maps from WXCharts
The UK is set to bask in another heatwave over the coming weeks as weather maps predict highs of 29C. WXCharts maps turn a fiery red for four consecutive days as the UK is forecast to roast towards the end of the month. The blistering conditions are displayed on the maps from Thursday, September 24.
On Thursday, according to the weather maps, the South West of England will hit 27C, with London rising to 26C. Across the rest of England, most of the Midlands is forecast to stay at 25C, reports the Mirror.
Then, on Friday, temperatures climb even higher. The West and East Midlands are forecast to hit 27C, along with the South East, London and Anglia.
A horizontal strip towards the south of the country will reach 28C, including Berkshire and Wiltshire, with Somerset soaring to 29C. As we move into the weekend, the scorching spell persists, with several other regions also climbing to 29C. This includes South London, Surrey and Cambridgeshire.
Further north, in Yorkshire, temperatures will also rise to 28C. The heat persists into Sunday with highs of 29C.
Although most of the heat is concentrated in the south, areas including Greater Manchester are also predicted to reach 24C.

According to the Met Office a heatwave is officially defined as an extended period of hot weather where the daily maximum temperature meets or exceeds a specific local threshold for at least three consecutive days.
This benchmark sits between 26C and 28C in the south. The forecast for Saturday, 19 September to Monday, 28 September states: “There will also be some reasonably dry and more settled periods in between these systems, especially across southern areas.
“There is a chance settled weather may expand further northwards during the final week of September.
“Temperatures for the period as a whole will probably be close to average overall, but there is scope for some rather warm days at times, as well as relatively cool nights which may bring the occasional grass frost.”
