At least three people have died after a helicopter crashed between commercial buildings in a Los Angeles suburb.
The incident occurred on the night of Tuesday, September 15, occurred in Chatsworth, about 25 miles (40 kilometres) from downtown Los Angeles. The cause of the crash is unknown.
The crash caused a fire as it landed, engulfing several vehicles and two large cargo containers. Footage from the scene shows thick plumes of smoke billowing from the site.
The fire has since been extinguished after 56 firefighters responded to the incident.
It is not yet confirmed who the helicopter belonged to.
The horror occurred near where emergency officials were responding to a fatal bus crash.
The LA Fire Department said in a statement late on Tuesday that the three people were determined dead on the scene.
Another person has been transported to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown.
The number of people that were inside the chopper is still to be determined.
The National Transportation Safety Board and FAA will conduct an investigation.
