Mum of two Malia Nummerdor is accused of having sex with the family dog after her husband allegedly caught her engaged in a sex act – but she said she was just petting it
A “gorgeous” mum accused of having sex with her family’s pet dog Ranger on home video has been freed from jail after she coughed up a $35,000 bond – but the animal’s whereabouts remain unknown.
Malia Nummerdor, 38, has faced intense public ridicule after her husband allegedly caught her having sex with their pet while reviewing home security footage to see who was stealing from the coin jar. The mum of two seems to be unbothered by the charges as she was pictured grinning in her viral mugshot, and her Facebook profile is still very public.
Supporters have flooded her Facebook account with compliments on her recent photo updates and statuses. Followers greeted the accused mum with “alright hottie” before showering her with compliments including “so so pretty”, “beautiful as always”, “gorgeous eyes” and “you look pure and beautiful Malia” – a comment which has received 23 laughing reactions.
Now Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed to the Daily Star that Nummerdor made bail and is next to appear in court on October 19. It’s not been confirmed whether the dog has been removed from the family home, where Nummerdor is believed to have multiple dogs.
The controversy began when Nummerdor was charged with engaging in sexual contact with an animal following a domestic investigation in Charlotte County, Florida.
According to an arrest report from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, her husband had initially installed hidden cameras around the home to solve a minor household mystery of finding out who was taking money from a coin jar.
While everyone in the house was reportedly aware of the cameras, the husband claimed that upon reviewing footage from a bedroom camera, he uncovered video evidence showing his wife engaging in intimate acts with their dog.
The husband, who has not been publicly identified, later shared the disturbing allegations on Facebook, claiming he had both photo and video evidence of the acts. Police officers say they were shown images from the recording, and the husband granted investigators full access to his laptop to review the files.
When interviewed by police, Nummerdor acknowledged the existence of the bedroom video but denied any sexual misconduct, telling officers she was “just petting the dog”.
Her Facebook profile, which features pictures of her two sons and her husband – whom she married in 2023 – also features several photos of different dogs over the years, though authorities have not specified which animal was involved.
Nummerdor was arrested and booked into the Charlotte County Jail, where she raised eyebrows by giving a large, cheesy grin for her official mugshot. She has since made bail on a $35,000 bond.
Sheriff Bill Prummell expressed complete disbelief over the allegations and Nummerdor’s demeanour during booking: “There are only a few times in my career that I have been at a loss for words. This is one of those times.
“I simply cannot comprehend this behavior. No animal should ever be subjected to this kind of conduct, and you can be sure that we will take action when we learn about it here in Charlotte County.
“And then to smile in the mugshot? I don’t know what there is to smile about when you’ve been arrested for something as disgusting as this.”
