Fears of a global conflict have spiked after North Korean tyrant Kim Jong Un personally supervised the launch of a terrifying new secret weapon.
The dictator flexed his military muscle by testing a mysterious high-tech device, boasting that the technology is designed to leave his adversaries nursing “an incurable headache and a very cruel and unavoidable blow.” The surprise announcement came just days after South Korea and Japan detected two short-range ballistic missiles plunging into the waters off the nation’s east coast.
Although Pyongyang officials refused to reveal exact details of the device, state news agency KCNA reported that Kim praised the launch as “undoubtedly a striking demonstration of ultra-modern defence technology.”
Glorifying the war-readiness of his armed forces, Kim linked the launch directly to his country’s battlefield capabilities.
He claimed that “to acquire such a technology is of weighty significance in the state’s readiness for war and the future development of the armed forces.”
The hermit kingdom has doubled down on its rogue status by legally cementing its position as a permanent nuclear power.
South Korea slammed the recent launches as a direct breach of UN Security Council resolutions, demanding Pyongyang pull the plug on its ballistic missile program.
Meanwhile, Japan lodged a “stern protest” over the dangerous military flexing, warning that the tests directly threaten regional peace and security.
Tensions had already reached boiling point after North Korea slammed a resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) demanding an end to its nuclear operations.
Pyongyang shrugged off the international body, saying the resolution “has no effect on the DPRK’s position as a nuclear weapons state.”
Backing up her dictator brother’s stance, Kim’s powerful sister Kim Yo-jong launched her own blistering attack.
She described the regime’s nuclear status as “absolute” and branding anyone holding out hope for denuclearisation as “idiots.”
