Erik Nummerdor, the husband of Malia Nummerdor who is accused of having sex with their pet dog, has spoken out in an emotional video saying ‘people would rather see me hanged than tell the truth’
The husband of a woman accused of having sex with their pet dog has spoken out in a bombshell video saying “I’m going to need therapy” after allegedly catching his wife in the act. He added he had been the target of online hate and that people would rather “see me hanged than tell the truth”.
Malia Nummerdor, 38, was recently charged with engaging in sexual contact with an animal after her husband shared some rather disturbing allegations on Facebook. Erik Nummerdor claimed he had photo and video evidence to prove the alleged sick intimate acts.
Police then contacted Erik upon seeing what had been posted on Facebook. The husband was interviewed by police, who said the man had installed some security cameras in his home to find out who had been taking money from the coin jar.
However, upon reviewing the footage from a bedroom camera, he alleges to have found a video of his wife engaging in sex acts with their dog. Police were shown images from the recording and the man gave officers access to his laptop, as per police documents.
When Malia was interviewed, she is said to have acknowledged the video with the dog but said there was no sexual contact. She said she was just petting the dog.
Since then, Malia has gained a support community online who claim that her husband Erik “framed her” – urging people to remember that “everyone is innocent until proved guilty”. They even started a fundraiser, which has since been taken down.
Now, Erik has hit back in a tearful video. Speaking to his friends and followers on Facebook he admitted “this is a woman I love with every ounce of me” but “I have to stand up for what’s right”.
Erik says: “For those who don’t know my I’m Erik and obviously I’m at the centre of all this attention. Believe what you guys want, I never wanted things to go the way they did, or my marriage to go this way, truthfully. But here we are.”
Erik goes into detail about his past and that he has been in prison before, but now “knows the difference between right and wrong”. “Let me tell you, just get it out there now, I have a past I have a history, I did some bad things growing up – drugs, alcohol, jail, prison sentence,” he says. “I wasn’t the greatest of people back then. I learned a lot of right and wrong, and I know the difference between right and wrong now.
“But, look, I know a lot of you guys have my back on this, I appreciate you more than you know. And I know there’s a lot of you who can’t stand me and rather see me hanged for telling the truth. And that’s what this is, the truth, unfortunately. People don’t realise that we’re all human and we’re capable of anything but I don’t even know what to say, how to say anything about this.”
Malia’s husband reveals that what’s to come will be “ugly”, but claims “I was put here to speak for the ones who couldn’t speak for themselves”, presumably referring to the dog. He says: “There’s a lot that’s gonna come to the table and it’s messy, it’s ugly, but for anyone who thinks that I didn’t consider our kids, these families, our friends, with this – I thought really hard about this and ultimately I know I did the right thing, and I was put here to speak for the ones who couldn’t speak for themselves.”
Tearing up, Erik says: “This is a woman I love with every ounce of me and gave her everything I could but because I never spoke up, because I was always the quiet guy, because people said don’t bring yourself to this level. Me not speaking up in the past allowed a lot of you to believe what you were told and I’m sure my past helped you believe that, but a lot of it isn’t right.
“None of you have the whole story, not even close yet, you’re gonna learn a lot of things you don’t want to accept because I didn’t want to accept them. I still wake up [and think I’m in a dream], but no it’s not, it’s reality. There’s so much hate in this world and I’m getting so much of it for standing up for what’s right. I’m gonna need some help, I don’t want money, I need some therapy for sure because my brain is just gone because of all this.
“I’m not crazy and a lot of you know some other stuff that’s true as well. But seeing so many rally for the other end and it doesn’t matter how much comes through [money], it’s never gonna change the outcome – what is rock solid and 100% truthful and provable.”
Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to the Daily Star that Malia was released on bail and is next to appear in court on October 19. She has denied the allegations against her.
It’s not been confirmed whether the dog has been removed from the family home, where Malia is believed to have multiple dogs.
