‘Good price, overall delighted with my purchase’
Dunelm shoppers are praising a compact electric stove that delivers plenty of warmth despite its smaller size, making it a handy addition as temperatures begin to drop. The 2,000W Stove Effect Heater is up for grabs for £80 and it comes in four different colours.
The electric stove has two heat settings of 1,000W and 2,000W, along with thermostat controls so households can adjust the warmth to suit the room. Designed to heat an area of around 20 to 30 square metres, it uses fan-assisted heating to circulate warmth while the realistic flame effect gives it the appearance of a traditional stove.
Overheat protection provides additional reassurance, while its compact, freestanding design means it can be positioned where extra warmth is needed. Dunelm estimates running costs at around 53p per hour, based on October 2025’s electricity rate of 26p per kWh, although the actual amount will depend on households’ energy tariffs.

There are other options on the market, too, such as the Dimplex MicroStove Optiflame Electric Stove Fire for £140 from Argos. It offers two heat settings, has a cast-effect black finish and is said to be designed to heat small to medium-sized rooms.
At Amazon, there is the Netta Stove Heater Electric Fireplace for £59.49, down from £69.99, in an early Prime deal. This one features realistic burning logs and flame effects and offers two heat settings to choose from.

The 2,000W Stove Effect Heater has racked up a high 4.6 out of five-star rating at Dunelm from nearly 350 reviews. One person said: “This fire is powerful, heats up the room quickly and looks so pretty. My cats lay in front of it whenever it’s on.”
Another added: “This is a great little stove. I only have a small space to stand it, but it fits the bill exactly. Makes the room feel cosy even without the heat. Looks lovely and completes my room renovation.”
A third commented: “Love this stove fire! I had a very similar one in black but wanted to brighten up the room and match my fireplace decor with a lighter one. Really pleased with this one! We really only use the coal effect but the fan heater part works well. Highly recommended!”
Some people disagreed slightly, however. For example, this person said: “Great, realistic fire. I wanted mine to replace the condemned log burner in my cottage. This fits the bill at a good price. Warms up the room quickly. The only slight complaint is that it is noisier than I expected! Hope I get used to it.”
Another said: “It was a little smaller than I thought it would be, but it does the job beautifully and keeps the living room warm.”
