A jury heard a teenager testify that Kirsty Slater, 38, engaged in sexual activity with him and swore him to secrecy, allegations she strongly denies
A teenager claimed a woman taught him how to kiss and have sex before urging him to stay quiet, a court has heard. Kirsty Slater, 38, is currently standing trial at Preston Crown Court where she denies three charges of sexual activity with a child under the age of 16.
Jurors were shown footage of a recorded police interview with the alleged victim. In the clip, the youngster explained how he ended up alone with Mrs Slater one evening.
He said that drinking beer left him feeling “fuzzy” because he was unaccustomed to alcohol, before she invited him outside to gaze at the night sky, reports LancsLive.
He said that when they went back inside, he asked her to explain how to kiss. In the video, he was heard to say: “When I said that, she just says ‘just come on then’ and goes close to me and kisses me. Then she stops and sits back down. I was like ‘what’s just happened?’.”
The teenager said they began listening to music and he asked for another drink, jurors heard, before saying ‘everything got a bit weirder’.
“The atmosphere just felt off,” he added, speaking to police. “I was like ‘that was weird, what just happened?’.”
He claimed Mrs Slater kissed him again and said he could touch her breasts, jurors heard.
They then had sex, the court heard him tell officers. “I felt very confused,” he told police. “It was kind of like… surreal. Like ‘did that actually happen or am I just imagining it?’. It was very weird.
“Afterwards I felt, like, disgusting, if you know what I mean? I felt more like, inhumane. It’s very weird but that’s how I felt. So, yeah.”
The court heard the boy tell police Mrs Slater said to keep what happened secret. That, he said, made him feel ‘a little bit guilty’. Jurors were told he later told a counsellor about what he claimed happened.
Defending, Kristian Cavanagh told the boy: “Kirsty Slater will say she hasn’t kissed you; you haven’t touched her breasts; and she hasn’t had sex with you.
“She didn’t get undressed in front of you and she didn’t tell you this was your little secret.” “That’s false,” the teenager replied.
Slater, of Millbrook Close, Oswaldtwistle, denies three counts of sexual activity with a person aged 13 to 15.
