Joe McMoneagle claims he saw 12ft giants, ancient roads and ruined machinery on the Red Planet during a secret US Army mind-spying project
A former US Army psychic who claims he was paid by military chiefs to map the universe using his mind says he spotted 12ft-tall giants and ruined roads on Mars. Joe McMoneagle was previously recruited for Project Stargate, a bizarre Cold War initiative launched in 1977 to see if human brainpower could be weaponised for military espionage.
The secret unit ran for 18 years before being scrapped in 1995. The mind-bending project even inspired Jon Ronson’s hit book and movie The Men Who Stare at Goats, starring George Clooney.
Speaking on the Align podcast with YouTuber Aaron Alexander, McMoneagle lifted the lid on his strange ability, known as “remote viewing” – which he insists is very real.
“Some [out of body experiences] are objective observations and some are subjective experiences,” he said. “You’ve got to be careful of the subjective experiences, because like I said every human being is in their own world.”
The military psychic dropped a bombshell when he claimed he was tasked with using his abilities to spy on the Red Planet.
McMoneagle said: “I got targeted on Mars. It made me very angry because if I can’t prove what I’ve targeted to some extent at a later date or whenever…then I get upset because I’m not learning better things about remote viewing.”
Determined to prove he wasn’t just hallucinating, he says he took his mind-scouted coordinates to space experts on Earth.
He said: “When that happened I kept all the material. I went to Jet Propulsion Laboratory on the West Coast and I got a packet.
“When I gave him the GPS locations, he said ‘oh, that’s the old city of Mars’. He actually opened the drawer and gave me all the four by four negatives for those areas that I had targeted.”
After scouring through the satellite photos, McMoneagle claims he spotted clear signs of an ancient alien civilisation built on the dusty red rocks.
“They show foundations of buildings, machines that are broken down and partially destroyed, paths, roads, mines,” he said, even claiming to have spotted a massive “shipping container” sitting on the Martian surface.
Most terrifyingly of all, the army psychic believes that human beings aren’t actually native to Earth at all, suggesting we are the descendants of giant alien refugees who fled a Martian apocalypse millions of years ago.
“My perception is everything that I remote viewed on Mars had humans involved,” he said. “They’re just like us only twice our size, you can account for that over gravity.
“I’m making a long hairy guess that’s probably us and something happened on Mars that was eradicating us as an entity, and we were brought here deliberately to save us.”
