It has been a summer of love in the Shearer household, with both of Newcastle United icon Alan Shearer’s jaw-dropping daughters tying the knot. Hollie Shearer was the first to say “I do”, before her stunning sister Chloe followed suit.
Hollie, the younger of the pair, beamed with pride earlier this summer as she married England rugby union star Joe Marchant. The couple celebrated their big day in the picturesque town of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, east of Avignon.
Wearing a sleek cream linen suit to match the groom and groomsmen, Alan posed alongside Hollie before sharing a snap from the celebrations. Captioning the picture, he wrote: “Wow!!! What a weekend. Daughter number 2 now married. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Marchant!”

The gorgeous bride is currently living in France, with her partner playing for Stade Francais after moving from Harlequins in December 2022.
The switch came just months after the pair went public with their romance, with Hollie confirming their relationship on Instagram in April 2022.
Alan was quickly teased about his daughter’s new man, but the former striker had one simple response: “I’m just glad it’s not a footballer.”
Hollie and Marchant got engaged in November 2024, after he popped the question in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Almost 18 months later, she finally walked down the aisle.
Hollie has also started to emerge from her famous dad’s shadow, building a huge following of her own on social media.
The fashionista and bikini-loving model boasts hundreds of thousands of followers across various platforms, including Instagram and TikTok.
And she isn’t just popular on Instagram. Hollie has also made a name for herself in music, with her top song on Spotify racking up around 1.5 million plays.
The singer-songwriter has used her platform to showcase her musical talents, regularly sharing snippets of her work.
But it’s her bikini snaps that leave fans hot the collar, and, now living under the French sun, fans are often fawning over her drop dead gorgeous looks.
A couple of months after Hollie said “I do”, it was the turn of her older sister, Chole.
The bride was dubbed “unreal” as she tied the knot with rugby union star Mick Young a scrum half for Gloucester, during a lavish wedding in Yorkshire.
Chloe wowed as she wore a strapless lace gown, posing next to her dad while holding a bouquet of flowers.
While her new husband, ex-Newcastle Falcons star Young, opted for a white tuxedo – with snaps showing the loved up pair hand-in-hand.
“I knew you’d be a stunning bride @chloeshearer1 but honestlyyyyy – unreal,” TNT Sports’ Kelly Somers said. While Holly Willoughby added: “What a beautiful bride…just wonderful…happy days!”
And like her sister, Chloe has forged her own name – this time in talent management.
Chloe has had a hand in Soccer Aid and sharing a snap alongside Michael Essien, she said: “Soccer Aid 2024…My second Soccer Aid and it was both bigger and better than last year, which I didn’t think was possible!
“Spent the week working with an amazing bunch of legends, topped off with an incredible amount of money raised for UNICEF!”
She likes to keep her private life out of the public eye, but her Instagram has been littered with snaps from her wedding as she celebrated her big day.
However, Chloe did tease her 20,000 followers when she showed off her toned physique with some bikini snaps from her hen-do. “These girls. This Trip. I’m one lucky lucky gal. Now for the big day…”
She had been at Beachhouse Playa d’en Bossa Ibiza along with her friends when she posed in the teeny tiny cream bikini. “Love this! You look amazing,” one gushed as a second shared: “So gorgeous!”
“Gorgeeee! Have the most magical weekend,” a third replied. And another added: “Wishing all of you a magical weekend!”
