A heavily pregnant 24-year-old mum was shot dead alongside her two young children and unborn baby boy just days before her due date when her own father launched a mass shooting
A pregnant mum killed in a horrific mass shooting which left nine people dead was just days away from giving birth, her shattered loved ones revealed.
Angelina Stone, 24, was reportedly gunned down alongside her five-year-old son Isiah, toddler daughter Amari’anna, and unborn baby boy Kyrie in a blood-soaked family murder-suicide in Erie, Pennsylvania, USA. The monster behind the trigger was identified as Angelina’s own father, 45-year-old Matthew Stone, who slaughtered eight people before turning the gun on himself.
The nightmare began around 5pm on Friday (October 9), when two distressed women rushed up Perry Street pounding on neighbours’ doors for help. Stone emerged from the house and executed both women on the street.
When police and SWAT teams surrounded the property, Stone barricaded himself inside. Negotiators tried to coax him out, but muffled gunshots echoed from within. Officers breached the house to find a scene of utter carnage.
Isiah and two-year-old Amari’anna were found dead on the ground floor. Angelina and three other family members – aged between 19 and 44 were discovered slumped on a second-floor stairwell alongside the gunman, TMZ reported.
Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah said: “It was horrific. It was the worst scene I have ever experienced.
“We did not hear a cry for help. We did not see movement inside.
“Those officers were met with an eerie silence when they arrived there.” Heartbroken friend Lisa Simmers told local media: “She was pregnant, about to have her baby in a couple days.
“Her two babies were on the spectrum. Innocent children, couldn’t have told on that man if they wanted to, and he still killed them.
“It’s mind-blowing to me to understand what was happening in that house while we were standing outside. The feeling of helplessness and knowing we couldn’t do anything and she was right there.”
Devastated dad Juicesiyah Alexander Ezekiel broke down as he mourned little Amari’anna. “It was my baby, bro, and he just took her,” he wept.
“Her name was Amari’anna. She’s the most beautiful baby God could have created.
“I’m so broken, man. I left Erie to stay away from that lifestyle, and I come back and lose my daughter, lose my baby mom, lose who I was fighting to stay alive for.”
Relative Aaliyah Williams launched a GoFundMe to lay the family to rest, writing: “Angelina’s father killed Angelina and her children in a murder-suicide, and now our family is facing the painful task of laying them to rest.”
