A college professor could face up to five years in jail after a bizarre campus incident left a student’s bag soaked in urine and the discovery of hidden cups of wee
A college professor could face jail after allegedly being caught in the act during a bizarre campus peeing spree. Paul Fischer, 55, is accused of drenching a student’s backpack in urine after she briefly stepped away from her workstation.
The student returned to her desk at Macalester College in Minnesota, US, to find her bag soaked in a foul-smelling yellow liquid. According to court documents, she immediately pointed the finger at biology lecturer Fischer, who had worked at the Saint Paul university for over 25 years, as he was the only person around.
The furious student claimed the rogue leak caused around $2,000 (£1,500) in damages.
When police were called to investigate, they reportedly uncovered a dark secret lurking in the school’s science building.
Campus security revealed they had already logged six separate complaints about mystery puddles appearing in unexpected locations, according the New York Post.
According to records, urine had been found dumped in office bins, water bottles and even hidden inside other professors’ decorations.
When grilled by cops, the academic allegedly admitted to a bizarre two-year habit of weeing into cups and chucking it into trash cans or lab sinks.
Fischer is said to have claimed he might have “accidentally” splattered the student’s bag while trying to chuck a cup full of his own urine into a nearby bin.
The disgraced educator resigned while the university investigated the foul incidents, with the college confirming his employment ended during the 2025-2026 academic year.
The alleged serial sprinkler has now been charged with first-degree property damage.
He faces up to five years behind bars and a $10,000 (£7,500) fine when he appears in court next month.
