A woman that was killed by her ex-partner in a freighting murder had her remains decapitated and thrown in a suitcase in a grim series of events
A man has admitted to killing his ex-girlfriend and keeping her head in a suitcase with a flower inside it.
The man has stated he allegedly loved the woman but she played him “like a sucker” leading to the her murder. Damon Foy, 50, has admitted to the murder of his ex-girlfriend Alberta Dale, 40, after telling officers the woman’s body was in a suitcase at the man’s residence during a police search. According to Ulster County prosecutors and court filings reviewed by Law&Crime Foy told investigators “I killed her.”
Dale, Foy’s ex-girlfriend, was reported missing in April 2024. Prosecutors believe Foy killed the woman sometime between March 31 and April 1, 2024. The man told officers the couple had clashed after their breakup. He added during one fight Dale kicked him out of the apartment. The horror occurred at the couple’s residence in Kerhonkson, New York.
During a police search at Foy’s apartment investigators found Dale’s remains in a suitcase on the floor.
While investigating the case officers “immediately noticed what appeared to be dried blood” on it, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors added: “Officers opened the defendant’s suitcase and found Alberta Dale’s partial dismembered remains, including her severed head.”
“The remaining portions of her dismembered body were not located during the execution of the search warrant.”
During the search officers found bone and tissue fragments throughout Foy’s apartment.
The investigators also found pruning shears, a serrated knife and an axe at the residence.
Prosecutors believe Dale had been the one to end the relationship with Foy. Court filings also state the woman told a crime victims unit that “if she went missing it was because [Foy] killed her.”
According to court filings, reviewed by Law&Crime, Foy told police “I loved her.”
He added: “The only thing she kept doing after the time throughout the whole relationship was just play me, play me like a fool, play me like a sucker, and just took advantage of the whole f—ing system.
“That’s it. I was told to leave my own home. I was told to leave my own f—ing home, not a bill in her name, and I was told to leave my own f—ing home. Get out. Then it all started coming clearer to me.”
Foy told officers: “You know what it was like being told once again, not this time by the judge, but by her, to get out the house? Get out. And I ain’t got no choice to go back.”
Foy is due to appear in court to be sentenced on December 16.
