Colombia’s superstar singer Shakira has reportedly cosied up with a former Real Madrid ace after splitting up with Barcelona icon Gerard Pique
Shakira has reportedly cosied up with a former Real Madrid star after splitting with Barcelona legend Gerard Pique. The Colombian pop star appears to have crossed the divide after being seen with an ex-Madridista.
Serge Ibaka, 37, is a former NBA star – playing in the league with Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic, Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Clippers and the Milwaukee Bucks. However, after moving to Europe he’s turned out for Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
The rumours stem from Univision program “El Gordo y la Flaca” where journalist Jordi Martín claimed the songstress, 49, had found a new man. He said: “Everything seems to indicate that ‘She Wolf’ has a new admirer, and it’s none other than Serge Ibaka.”

He claimed the couple have been dating for months, and while he never opened up on how they met, he did claim Ibaka had been to a concert in Madrid.
They are then said to have travelled together by private jet to Paris for Fashion Week, where they were both present at the same time. However, those close to Shakira have insisted the pair are just friends.
According to La Razón, Shakira’s close circle have confirmed the pair have met, but they maintain that both consider themselves friends and there isn’t a relationship.
Shakira first met her ex-husband Pique when she recorded the official track for the 2010 World Cup. “I have this connection with [football] that seems unbreakable. That’s why I call my kids the Waka kids.
“I think they were born because of that song. That song took me to the World Cup, the World Cup had an important impact in my life, and they were born – the best thing that has happened to me.”
She dumped the former Manchester United defender in 2022 after 11 years together, during which they had two children, amid widespread allegations that Pique had cheated on her.
Shakira was back at the festival of football in the summer, performing her song ‘Dai Dai’ at both the opening ceremony and the half-time show.
The half-time show had caused controversy – but no-nonsense pundit Roy Keane left his fellow ITV pundits in stitches with his comments.
He said: “It was a bit of an anti-climax, but I think the people in the stadium probably enjoyed it more than us. But it’s always nice to see Shakira.”
