A three-year-old girl tragically lost her life after being hit by a forklift driven by her uncle inside a biscuit factory. The heartbreaking incident occurred around 6.30pm on Tuesday.

Elliza Ramos Salvador’s uncle, a co-owner of the company, was operating the forklift within the factory at the close of the working day when she wandered into its path. Her father alerted him with a shout upon realising she had been struck.

Elliza’s uncle immediately halted the vehicle and rushed to assist her before taking her, along with other family members, to a local hospital in Andradas, Brazil. She arrived at 6.45pm in cardiac arrest, as reported by NeedToKnow.

Despite receiving medical attention, her life could not be saved. It is believed that Elliza had been playing in the factory yard and ran out from behind a storage rack into the area.

The rack is thought to have blocked the forklift driver’s view of her in the moments leading up to the tragic accident. He informed police he had not seen her.

Police were summoned to conduct a forensic examination, while Elliza’s body was transported to a morgue in Poços de Caldas.
