Supermarkets have been busy rolling out their festive ranges, including turkey crowns that promise to make a stunning and mouth-watering centrepiece for the dinner table on December 25

Nom nom nom

With many people already embracing the Christmas spirit, supermarkets have been busy unveiling their festive ranges, including turkey crowns that promise to be a stunning and delectable centrepiece for the dinner table on December 25. Although Christmas may still seem a bit distant, plenty of budget-conscious shoppers are already snapping up items and planning ahead to spread the financial burden.

For those plotting out their Christmas Day banquet, a panel of consumer experts has named the best turkey crown available at UK supermarkets. Good Housekeeping, which regularly carries out taste tests on everyday and seasonal products, pitted a range of turkey crowns against each other to find the ultimate choice for Christmas 2026.

And the winner happens to be a product from Britain’s largest supermarket. The Good Housekeeping Institute put a broad selection of turkey crowns to the test, cooking each one strictly according to the packet instructions before serving them blind to eliminate any brand bias.

The test involved evaluating a range of fresh and frozen birds from supermarkets and online butchers, covering a variety of weights. A premium product ultimately came out on top – fantastic news for those looking to splash out this festive season.
