Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have returned to the UK but are reportedly “fed up” with life in Britain and “homesick” for California, according to Mail Online editor at large Charlotte Griffiths
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be “fed up” with life in the UK after returning at the end of August. The pair spent six years residing in the USA after stepping down from their royal duties in 2020. Now, they’re back on British soil for what’s being described as an “extended” stay.
Charlotte Griffiths, editor at large of Mail Online, reveals: “I’m hearing that she [Meghan] and Harry are both feeling fed up and say they’ve had enough – it’s not working here in the UK. They don’t think it’s working out. They don’t have high hopes for their security, and they’re a bit worried about how they’re being received here in the UK, and it’s getting them down a bit.
“They’re actually getting quite homesick for California, so I hear.”
She continues: “In fact, some of their friends are fearing that when they go home for both half term, which is coming up in just a couple of weeks’ time and for Christmas, they might not end up coming back. So my bets are that I don’t think we will see them here beyond Christmas. I’m just going to put that out there now.
“So watch this space because it sounds like their move to the UK might not last as long as we had expected.”
Since relocating back to the UK, the couple have been establishing their lives in the Cotswolds. Meghan and Harry have maintained a low profile since their return to Britain, reports the Express.
Meghan has reportedly been dedicating her time to ensuring that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, now aged seven and five respectively, are comfortably settling into their new life in Britain. The youngsters were compelled to switch schools due to a security issue, marking a somewhat turbulent start for the Sussexes.
Prince Harry has been seen at numerous public events since relocating, including his attendance at the WellChild Awards and the Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner and Awards. The Duke also graced a black-tie gala in support of Ukraine before briefly returning to the US for commitments in New York.
The Sussexes’ move back to Britain coincides with their ongoing disagreement over security arrangements.
