Thames Valley Police have released images of a man they would like to speak to after a woman was raped and another attacked in an attempted rape in Milton Keynes
Police are looking to speak to a man after arresting two suspects in connection with a alleged rape and an attempted rape in Milton Keynes. Images have now been released of the man following a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both from Milton Keynes, being attested.
Thames Valley Police have been investigated both incidents, which occurred in Conniburrow, last month. A woman in her 30s was allegedly attacked on a pedestrian bridge on September 10, while the second incident saw a woman in her 50s allegedly attacked on September 23.
Officers investigating these incidents would now like to hear from anyone who lives in the Conniburrow, Bradwell, Bradwell Common, Linford Wood and Heelands areas. The force released a map of the area they are keen to speak to people from, which includes the surrounding areas of the places above.
They have asked for people to check Ring Doorbell footage, CCTV or dash cam footage of a man on a bicycle on September 23 between 8pm and 11pm.
Both the men who were arrested have since been released from police custody on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Inspector Graeme Williams, of Milton Keynes’ Criminal Investigation Department, said: “We appreciate that news of these incidents will have caused concern to local residents, and I would like to reassure you that we are following every line of enquiry available to us in order to bring whoever is responsible to justice.
“Both women are being supported by officers and we remain in contact with them. Based on the information available to us at the current time, we do not believe these incidents to be linked to any other offences in the area.
“Since these incidents were first reported to us we have been carrying out a range of comprehensive enquiries, including house to house and CCTV scoping in the area.
“In addition to the appeal we issued last week, which included an image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with these incidents, we would now like to hear from anyone with Ring Doorbell that may have captured him between the hours of 8pm and 11pm on 23 September in the areas pictured on the attached map.
If you recognise the man in the images, or have any footage that may assist our enquiries, the force has asked you to call them on 101 quoting reference 43260474579. Alternatively, you can report via our website at How to tell us about an existing case or report | Thames Valley Police
