Atletico Madrid took home all three points in their visit to the Mestalla Stadium, after beating Valencia 1-0 on Monday evening.

Diego Simeone‘s side moved up to 7th in LaLiga thanks to Antoine Griezmann‘s second-half strike for the visitors, having come on as a substitute just a minute before. 

Valencia’s new signing, Edinson Cavani, watched on from the stands after the club confirmed the Uruguayan’s arrival on a free transfer just hours before kick-off.
