Tennis star who’s lingerie mannequin retires all of a sudden aged 32 with out rationalization
Camila Giorgi, who is also a lingerie model, has retired from professional tennis.
Giorgi, 32, is listed on the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) website as retired. However, there hasn’t been any official statement from the Italian, who once reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon.
The 32-year-old didn’t enter the French Open, which is set to start later this month in Paris, meaning her last match was against Iga Swiatek at the Miami Open back on March. Giorgi was beaten 6-1, 6-1 in the Round of 64 on that occasion.

Giorgi, as a result of this declaration, has been pulled from the anti-doping protocols pool, which is necessary to play professional tennis. The Italian posted a selfie to her Instagram story on Tuesday – but she has offered no explanation as to her retirement.
Away from the court, Giorgi has modelled in lingerie – often sharing snaps to her delighted fans on social media.

However, back in the sport she revealed she doesn’t have too many friends, explaining to Tennis World USA in 2021: “No, I compete with them but I still think there is a good relationship between us.
“On the WTA Tour the atmosphere is very good but my real friends do something else,” before she added she prefers to have non-tennis friends as they allow her to switch off.
“It’s nice that they do other types of work, so we talk about tennis. When I finish training and go out with them we talk about other things, other projects and other things and I like it. They are all artists and as soon as we can we organise ourselves to see museums.”
Giorgi’s standout result is her quarter-final appearance at Wimbledon back in 2018 – where she was dumped out by Serena Williams 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
The Italian would also reach the quarters of the Olympics in Tokyo, with her last victory coming at the Mérida Open after beating Rebecca Peterson in the final.
