Ferdinand brutally mocked for ‘cringe’ video at Real as he is busted on digicam

Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand has been brutally mocked on social media for his cringe video.

Ferdinand, 45, was part of the TNT Sports crew at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday evening as Real Madrid made it to another Champions League final. And ahead of the game, the Red Devils legend made waves on social media as he posted a video at the stadium.

The 45-year-old goes to walk onto the pitch, only to stop and avoid the Madrid badge. He captioned the post: “Respect the Badge. PS, best stadium in the world right now!”

“No way he’s asked someone to film him avoiding some carpet,” one fan responded. While a second shared: “This needs to stop. It’s on the f***ing floor for a reason. Secondly, why has he asked someone to record him doing this. F*** me!”

“Here have me phone, so I can pretend to nearly walk over the badge,” a third joked. And another added: “Respect! I do this with the Lidl sign on the floor near the exit…”

Real showed off their European pedigree again on Wednesday, as two late goals from Premier League flop Joselu propelled them through into the final – where they will face Borussia Dortmund.

Joselu’s brace was yet more heartbreak for Harry Kane – who will finish another season without a trophy. “He has done his job. He has scored the goals,” Ferdinand said.

“They brought him to continue winning trophies and I feel the others have let him down more than anything. I think he will have a heavy heart tonight.”

While former Bayern midfielder Owen Hargreaves added: “I feel so sorry for Kane. What a superstar he has been and he doesn’t have an opportunity [to play in the Champions League final]. Poor guy. He has been amazing this season and that just didn’t go to plan in the last 10 minutes.”
