Emma Raducanu has admitted she was resentful towards her parents who banned her from having a boyfriend.
Raducanu, 21, shot to superstardom in 2021 when she wowed fans at Wimbledon before winning the US Open a couple of months later. And it was a strict training regime in her youth that helped the star with her success.
Speaking to The Times, Raducanu opened up about her route to the top: “My parents were very much against [boyfriends] as it interfered with training. When I was younger I wasn’t even allowed to hang out with my girl friends.

However, her parents, Ion and Renee, have since relaxed their tough approach – and Raducanu was linked with the hunky son of a billionaire late last year.

Carlo Agostinelli is the son of private equity billionaire Robert and Dior PR manager Mathilde Favier, meaning he’s well at home in a world of glitz and glamour.

The Daily Mail reported Raducanu and Carlo hd been seen coming and going from Agostinelli’s £2million flat in west London. Having gone to great lengths to keep much of her personal life private since shooting to fame, it now appears Raducanu has a doubles partner in play.
