Tyson Fury falls in avenue as bouncers escort boxer out after ‘too many’ drinks

Tyson Fury was spotted getting the boot from a boozer before taking a tumble on the pavement outside.

The Gypsy King, who towers at 6f 9in, had a bit of a mare after being chucked out by bouncers from Nowhere bar in Morecambe on Friday night. Just three weeks after his first professional defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia, Fury seemed to have lost his footing again, this time outside his local watering hole.

The footage first shows the heavyweight champ being encouraged by two security staff to leave the venue, who helped the unsteady fighter to the door. Having left the bar where he had been partying with family and friends, he is shown hitting the deck not once but twice, even seemingly clonking his head on a post during his wobbly exit.

A mate of the boxer reckons it wasn’t just the booze to blame for Fury’s fumble. The Sun report that a source told them the 35-year-old hadn’t touched a drop for more than 12 months because of his training and fight schedule.

“He had a couple too many and wasn’t feeling too well either,” they claimed. Fury has been following a strict regime for nearly a year, first getting ready to duke it out with ex-UFC champ Francis Ngannou, in an unimpressive victory in autumn.

He then shifted his sights to Usyk and the chance to become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. After a couple of hold-ups, the two heavyweights finally clashed on May 18, putting their unbeaten streaks to the test, reports the Express.

Usyk emerged on top, leaving Fury with a record of 34-1-1, but thanks to a rematch clause, ‘The Gypsy King’ could have his shot at redemption before the year’s out. For the moment, though, it seems Fury’s letting off some steam, even if snaps and clips of him getting barred from a boozer suggest he might end up kicking himself later.

On his Netflix series ‘At Home With The Fury’s’, the big man confessed that after a dry spell, it doesn’t take much to get him sloshed. “Two, three pints I’m gone, especially beer. Senseless, speechless drunk. Especially if you don’t drink all of the time,” he said before his bout with Ngannou.

Tyson Fury has been caught on camera a bit worse for wear before, but he’s earned massive respect for being open about his battles with mental health. After his first retirement from the ring, his dad John confessed that Tyson spiralled into despair.

The Gypsy King himself has confirmed it, saying he felt like he’d lost his way in life. “Last time that Tyson retired a lot went on, he went 10 stone over his body weight. Drinking non-stop, eating rubbish,” John spilled the beans.

“If I think Tyson or any of my sons are doing something that’s detrimental to themselves, I’ll be the first to say it straight.”

The big man’s journey back to the top is nothing short of legendary, and if he can nick a win against Usyk in their upcoming bout, it’ll be one for the history books.
