Three gadgets soccer followers should maintain of their automobile when travelling to Euro 2024

Football fans travelling to Euro 2024 this summer have been warned about three essential items they must keep in their car or risk a hefty £600 fine. Ian Reid, the head of editorial for Carwow, has highlighted some unusual but necessary pieces of kit.

Speaking to SunMotors this week, he advised: “When driving through France and Germany it is important you ensure you are carrying the right equipment in your vehicle. Some of these may sound like insignificant rules, but don’t dismiss them.”

“The French and German police will often stop British-registered vehicles to check they have the correct equipment.”

It’s crucial that motorists carry a first aid kit and warning triangle badge in their car at all times in case of an accident.

Additionally, drivers must have a set of high-vis vests, one for each passenger, stored in the boot. The use of headlamp beam deflectors is also required, a warning that has been issued to motorists and road users nationwide, reports Birmingham Live.

In other news, full strength beer has been banned at the England versus Serbia game and replaced with low alcohol alternatives. This decision comes amidst concerns over escalating fan violence between English supporters and Serbian hooligans.

Serbian ultras are notorious for causing havoc on the international stage, from setting fires in the stands to brawling with rival fans and even invading the pitch. German police have warned that a 500-strong group of ‘violence-seeking Serbian hooligans’ could descend on Sunday’s game.

Peter Both, Gelsenkirchen’s top cop where the match is set to take place, has also warned that “up to 400 or 500 violence-seeking Serbian hooligans will travel to Germany” for the game.

Speaking to Sky News this week, Chief Inspector Christof Burghardt said: “Serbia has many hooligans. The English guys, with alcohol, they are sometimes very aggressive.”
