‘Arrogant’ peado instructor Rebecca Joynes’ ultimate act earlier than arrest

Vile predator Rebecca Joynes has been branded ‘arrogant’ after footage of her arrest has emerged.

The paedo teacher, who preyed on underage pupils, was found guilty of sexual activity with two schoolboys last month. Today (Thursday, July 4), the 30-year-old was sentenced to six and a half years behind bars for her shocking crimes against children.

Manchester Crown Court previously heard how the teacher took one 15-year-old boy, referred to as Boy A to keep his anonymity, to a luxury shop to lure him with a £345 Gucci belt, before going back to her flat in Salford to have sex. She was suspended from her teaching role and was later found to be pregnant with ‘Boy B’ who she met when he was aged 15 before they kissed.

But when officers from Manchester knocked on the door to arrest the monster, the two officers were kept waiting.

The disgraced teacher ‘exploited’ her job for ‘sexual gratification’

In a scathing condemnation of Joynes, Judge Kate Cornell berated her for ‘exploiting’ her job for ‘sexual gratification’. She added: “Boy B described he would go to see you every chance he got, lying to his parents.

“You showed breathtaking gall in breaching the bail conditions in this way and you involved Boy B in this deceit. You took steps to conceal this offending, encouraging him to lie to his parents.

“It is astonishing arrogance that you were keeping the police waiting at your door as you were restoring your phone to factory settings.”

When she finally answered the door, bodycam footage released by police showed Joynes looking gobsmacked as a female officer explained she was going to be detained on suspicion of sexual activity with a child. With her arms crossed, the paedo replies: “Are you serious?”

Detective Constable Beth Alexander, of GMP’s Child Protection Investigation Unit in Salford, said: “Joynes abused her position of trust as a teacher and used it to manipulate and abuse two boys. It is completely incomprehensible the impact this has had on those young men and their families. School should be a place of safety for children.”
