Royal Dyche to ‘cease serving’ earlier than Burnley recreation so workers can bag Oasis tickets
The Royal Dyche pub in Burnley has warned customers they will ‘stop serving’ before Burnley’s derby match against Blackburn Rovers to allow staff the chance to secure Oasis tickets.
After 15 years, Oasis have announced they are returning for a reunion tour with Noel and Liam Gallagher set to take to the stage together once again. The massive announcement has left fans all over the country praying to get their hands on a ticket for the 14-date tour next summer.
Tickets are set to go live on Saturday morning, just when the Sean Dyche-renamed pub will be serving up breakfasts and beers to customers and Burnley fans ahead of the Saturday lunchtime Championship clash against fierce rivals Blackburn.

But the pub knows the magnitude of the Manchester brothers’ return and has given their staff the chance to be there next summer. The Royal Dyche reposted the Oasis reunion announcement and gave their customers a warning in advance of potentially slow business.
Announcing there will be a break in the service to allow staff the chance to attempt to bag a ticket, the pub wrote: “Just a heads up Clarets…We will be stopping serving at 8.50am for 15 minutes whilst our staff attempt to get tickets.”

The Royal Dyche was named by Burnley super fan and owner Justine Lorriman, who rebranded the pub after Dyche led the Clarets to European football in 2018, but they failed to make the Europa League group stage – losing the playoff round to Olympiacos.
Burnley face a blockbuster early-season clash against the currently undefeated Blackburn side. Scott Parker’s side were beaten on Saturday by Sunderland and lost their 100 per cent winning start to the campaign.
The Clarets have taken almost £90million this summer in player sales with the likes of Wilson Odobert’s £25million move to Tottenham Hotspur and Sander Berge’s initial £20m switch to Fulham their biggest sales following Premier League relegation last season.
Meanwhile, the 14-date tour includes four nights in their hometown of Manchester, just a short trip down the road from Burnley. But with tickets expected to be in extremely high demand, it’s probably not worth trying to join the queue to get them at all…
