World Cup star’s sizzling WAG labored as undertaker and was ‘fascinated’ by embalming
While WAGs, these days, often delve into the social media world of influencing and modelling, Oriana Sabatini found her calling elsewhere.
Oriana is the better half of World Cup winner and Europa League star Paulo Dybala. And while Oriana is a successful as a singer, actress and model, she was recently able to fulfil her dream of becoming an undertaker.
“I was fascinated by death as a little girl,” she revealed on her ‘ A Dónde Vamos Cuando Soñamos’ (Where We Go When We Dream) podcast, via BILD. “When I left home and wondered what I was going to do with my life, the opportunity to become an embalmer presented itself.

“I saw a stream on Instagram and couldn’t believe that you could have a career as an embalmer. Then I thought about what I could do to make my interests come true. That’s how I discovered this profession that I could learn in a short time. It’s a nice job, and it’s something very anonymous – it’s a service.”
Oriana added she was then given the opportunity to try out the profession: “One time I got a call from Daniel, the owner of a funeral home I knew. He said, ‘Ori, we’re getting a body in half an hour – can you come over and help?’ I said yes.
“It was 10 o’clock in the evening, I had already eaten, I had nothing else to do. There was a game between Brazil and another national team. Paulo wanted to watch it with my father and I said I would do something useful, I would go to the funeral home.”
She added Dybala even turned off the football and accompanied her.
Oriana and Dybala have been an item since 2018 – and the pair tied the knot earlier this year.
