Vladimir Putin’s leg twitches uncontrollably as he fights to maintain steadiness in new footage

A bombshell video is said to confirm that Russian leader Vladimir Putin may be battling Parkinson’s disease after footage showed his foot shaking wildly mid-speech.

The 72-year-old despot was delivering a discussion at a podium in Astana, Kazakhstan, but couldn’t help his leg, which started twitching visibly.

The shaking, caught on camera in Putin’s left foot, seemed to spread to both legs and feet suddenly. The Kremlin attempted to adopt a broader stance presumably trying to contain the spasms. Despite the discomfort, he persisted in swaying and struggled to maintain composure while delivering his speech.

In another eerie event earlier this month, film captured the unnerving moment Putin’s hands looked to lock up as he gave a savage speech in Moscow. He then disappeared for nearly a fortnight – which stirred rumours about his health throughout Russia. When he came back, he dedicated his time to addressing the ongoing conflict with Ukraine. However, spectators were distracted as his hands looked completely still for 10 minutes, reports the Mirror.

One eagle-eyed social media user shared the damning footage captioned: “If you speed up the video, it is visible that Putin’s hands are not moving and look like they are separate from his body. The sound and lip movement do not correspond at times.”

The fast-forwarded clip, cutting through two minutes of him speaking and exhibited Putin moving his upper-body, but his hands remain eeriely still. They reportedly stayed in this petrified state throughout the eight-minute spiel, marking the first sighting of the tyrant since his spell away from the spotlight.

Putin’s recent discussion about Ukraine’s use of long-range US ATACMS missiles and British Storm Shadow missiles has been overshadowed by social media buzz, with netizens more fixated on his health than the conflict. Observers on social media highlighted peculiarities during his speech, noting discrepancies between his voice and lip movements, a mysteriously shifting chair, and a blurry tie.

Rumours that Putin was ill had been stirring for months

One user commented: “At times he has a bad tremor. He often grasps a chair or table etc, likely to keep it from being noticed in that way too.” Despite these speculations, Russia has dismissed any suggestions that Putin is facing health issues.

Back on home turf, Defence Minister Maria Eagle has made it clear that the UK’s support for Ukraine remains steadfast in the face of Putin’s “irresponsible rhetoric”. Her firm stance follows Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s declaration that the UK is “not at war” with regards to the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
