A top Russian model has claimed she was robbed at knife-point in London. Irina Fedotova – who has lived in Russia for several years – has told how she had £40,000 stolen from her bank account after being held up by armed men.

It happened after leaving a nightclub, where she claims security had lost her fur coat and her glasses in the club. And while that was weird enough, she then went outside to “get some air” and was ushered round a corner by someone she thought was going to take her to her coat.

Speaking to Kremlin-backed Russian news outlet Moskovskij Komsomolets, she said: “I walked with him around the corner of the building, and then three more migrants came up to me. They surrounded me, one of them brought a knife and said ‘open your phone’.

“I was scared, I didn’t argue with him. When I started to open my smartphone, they peeked at the password to enter. Then they made me open my crypto wallets and mobile banks and, apparently, remembered the passwords too.

“But I managed to close the phone and even started to put the phone in my bag, then one of them snatched it and ran away. The others followed him.”

Irina, who didn’t clarify which club it was, claimed she then went back to the club and told security what happened but was “laughed at”. It was at this point she realised that it was probably some kind of set up.

She went on: “They found the fur coat right away, I got dressed and went home, not to the police. At first I just thought: well, the phone, to hell with it. The thing is, a lot of phones are stolen in London, it happens all the time.

“They snatch them right off the streets, it has happened to almost everyone there. But I never expected that they would be able to access my mobile banks and cryptocurrency wallets. I had already closed the phone. I didn’t think that they had all the codes.

“I’m sure that they attacked me because they saw that I was an unprotected Russian girl.”

She claims she has spoken to the police about it but holds out not much hope of the criminals being found.

Fedotova was banned from all clubs and bars in the UK for two years in 2021 after a “physical altercation with two police officers,” but the ban was lifted after a successful appeal at the crown court.
